This interview is causing mixed feelings for me…. first, I’m SO excited to see Incubus at the end of August, and I watched this interview clutching my tickets. I saw Incubus play at Copps Colliseum when I was like 15 with Jennifer Budd and Natalie Simms and it is still in my top 10 best concerts of life (top 10 out of probably over 60… I have yet to tally up my collection of concert ticket stubs.) Second, Brandon Boyd’s nip slip out of his hipster tank top is distracting…….. and kind of hot, since he was one of my first rock star crushes. Third, since Boyd was one of my first rock star crushes, it’s alarming to see him with grey hairs and talking very pointedly (punctuating with his index finger often) like a professor of 90s/2000s rock. This should just exemplify the fact that he’s always been far too old for me…. but it also makes me feel old. Fourth, fuck I love this band <3 <3 <3

This is Alexisonfire covering Moneen’s “Passing of America” and Moneen covering Alexisonfire’s “Accidents.” If you’ve never heard the Alexisonfire vs Moneen “Switcheroo” album, GET IT- NOW! I’m a fan of both bands, and I love how they take each other’s songs to a whole new level of amazing. This EP came out in 2005, and, in my opinion, it’s still the best thing released by either band.
